The Glendale Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon. The accident happened close to Grand and 67th Avenue at around 5:15 p.m. The collision involved a motorcyclist and a truck.
According to officials, a truck pulling a trailer made a left turn in front of the motorcycle as he was traveling northwest on Grand Avenue from 67th Avenue. The caravan was struck by the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was given CPR attempts by the officers, but he passed away at the scene.
At the time of the fatal crash, he was wearing a helmet. His identity is not yet known at this time.
The truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Officers had Grand Avenue closed in both directions from 71st to 67th Avenues while the investigation was ongoing.
