The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash in Fremont on Sunday evening. The accident happened south of Automall Parkway on Interstate 880 northbound at around 6:20 p.m., according to James Evans California Highway Patrol.
CHP found a motorcyclist lying on the left lane of the road with life-threatening injuries. The person was pronounced dead at the scene. The name and identity of the person have not been made public yet.
The fatal collision is being investigated by the officials. The events leading up to the crash have not been revealed at this time.
Interstate 880 lanes are blocked due to the crash. Additional information regarding the deadly crash is not available currently.
