The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Burlingame Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened on Burlingame’s Caltrain tracks,Train SB510 and train NB509 collided with the vehicle close to the Broadway station at around 1:40 p.m.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim is unknown.
There were no injuries among the train passengers.
The reason the car was on the tracks was unknown.
Following the collision, trains were stopped throughout the region, necessitating the construction of a bus bridge to connect the Hayward Park station in San Mateo with the Millbrae station.
Further details regarding the fatal crash are not available currently.
