1 Person Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Baton Rouge (Baton Rouge, LA)

The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Baton Rouge on Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports, the fatal collision happened in the 12000 block of Florida Boulevard around 3 p.m.

When the driver of a 2010 Toyota Scion tried to merge onto Florida Boulevard while driving east, they collided with another vehicle.

The car lost control as a result of the impact, running over two people who were crossing the street on the shoulder. 

One pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other had minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The identities of those involved have not been disclosed. 

The fatal crash is being investigated by the police.

It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. 

There are no other details available at the moment.
