The Austin Fire Department reported a motor vehicle crash in east Austin on Tuesday afternoon. The accident happened near Techni Center Drive, in the 4200 block of Ed Bluestein Boulevard at around 12:08 p.m. The collision involved two vehicles.
One adult was pronounced dead at the scene while two people were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center. According to ATCEMS, one of them has potentially life-threatening injuries while the other has potentially serious injuries. The names and identities of the victims have not been made public yet.
The fatal crash has caused the northbound lanes of the US-183 South frontage road and Techni Center Drive to be closed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
