1 Person Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Auburn (Auburn, WA)

The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash at around 6 a.m.

The crash happened on state route 167 near Auburn.

According to the investigators, 60-year-old James W Maclam was driving northbound on highway near Highway 18. 

He drifted onto his right shoulder, overcorrected while attempting to re-enter the road and collided with another motorist.

Then Maclam’s car turned around, slammed into the right-side barrier, leaped over the edge, and came to rest on top of the eastbound onramp from Highway 18 to SR 167.

The first responders said Maclam was not wearing a seatbelt and he was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

The other vehicle had minor damage and the driver was unharmed.

The crash is being investigated by the officials.
