The Auburn Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday morning. The accident happened near Chinook Elementary School, a roundabout that was recently constructed; about a mile down the road.
A large SUV came barreling off the road, rolled, struck their home, and then hit the ground as a family was sleeping inside.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Three people were injured. The names and identities of the victims have not been made public yet.
The fatal crash is being investigated. Speed was considered as a factor involved. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role. Additional details regarding the crash are not available currently.
