The Auburn Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Thursday. The authorities reported a semi-truck accident on West Valley Highway at around 4:15 p.m.
On West Valley Highway, two vehicles were traveling north when the second vehicle attempted to overtake the first. According to police, a semi-truck was turning south as it was passing and was pulling out of a driveway on the east side of the road. This caused the second vehicle to crash into the truck.
At the scene, one person’s death was confirmed. The name and identity of the victim have not been made public yet.
The fatal collision is being investigated by the officials. Between 15th Street Northwest and 37th Street Northwest, the road is blocked off while workers investigate. Additional details regarding the crash are not available currently.
