The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday morning at around 7a.m. in Benton County.
Authorities stated that Marshal E Tapani, 26, of Pasco was driving SR 240 in the wrong direction and hit another car.
WSP confirmed that he was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center, where he died later. The next of his kin have been notified.
The other driver was also taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center.
WSP suspect impairement to be a factor in the fatal accident.
