Authorities responded to a fatal car crash that claimed a life. The crash happened on Airport Road in Santa Cruz County early Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal wreck was reported at 2:08 a.m. near the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Green Valley Road.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased person is yet to be identified by the police.
The road was closed due to the wreck and has since been reopened at about 5:30 a.m.
The crash is under investigation. No further details regarding the crash are currently available.
