According to the Rocklin Police Department, a multi-vehicle accident was reported on Wednesday morning.
The officials stated that the crash happened in the area of Whitney Ranch Parkway and University Avenue near Whitney High School.
The officials reported that three vehicles were involved in the crash.
Rocklin Police Department spokesman Capt. Scott Horrillo confirmed that one person was declared dead at the scene and three others were transported to the hospital with injuries.
The condition of the victim is unknown at the moment.
The identity of the deceased victim and the injured victims is yet to be determined by the officials.
No additional information was provided.
