The Wichita Falls Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash that claimed a life and injured three others on Thursday.
Officials said a Cadillac failed to stop at a stop sign while heading eastbound on Northwest Drive. It crossed Loop 11 when it struck a Ford Escape on its passenger side. The Cadillac then hit a power pole, ejecting the driver.
The Cadillac driver, Maria Flores, 56, of Wichita Falls, died at the scene.
According to the police, a two-year-old was also ejected from Cadillac, and a 36-year-old driver was extricated from the vehicle.
Following the collision, the Ford rolled and rested on its roof, pinning a 62-year-old inside. He was then extracted from the vehicle. He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth in stable condition.
The two-year-old was airlifted to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth in critical condition. She is reported to be stable now. The Cadillac driver remains in critical but stable condition at United Regional.
