The Michigan State Police reported a motor vehicle accident in Grand Rapids on Sunday at around 3:05 a.m.
According to the officials a pickup truck and a Ford focus were involved in the crash.
The collision took place at the intersection of East Beltline Avenue and Reels Lake Boulevard on the southeast side of Grand Rapids.
The officials reported that a 28-year-old woman from Grand Rapids was driving a Ford Focus northbound on East Beltline Avenue’s southbound lanes without using her headlights.
The pickup truck was heading south when it collided head-on with the Ford Focus.
The woman died at the scene and her identity is unknown.
The officials confirmed that twomen in the truck were injured and taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Alcohol seems to be a factor in this fatal crash.
The crash is being investigated by the officials.
