According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident was reported on Friday afternoon.
The officials reported that the crash happened at the entranceway to Interstate 49 and Highway 71 north of Texarkana.
The officials stated that two pick-up trucks were involved in the crash.
Officials pronounced one person dead at the scene.
Another victim from the fatal crash was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The officials did not disclose the condition of the victim.
The Texas Department of Public Safety awaits the identities of the victims.
The cause of the crash is being investigated at the moment by the officials.
