One person was killed following a traffic collision Friday in West Covina.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle crash took place just before 4 a.m. at Nogales and Amanda streets. The early reports showed that a vehicle slammed into a tree and caught fire. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials.
The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
