1 Person Dead, Another Injured In A Two-Vehicle Crash In Yoakum County (Lubbock, TX)

The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a two-vehicle crash that claimed a life and injured another. The crash happened on State Highway 214, north of Denver City, around 2:14 p.m. 

According to DPS, an SUV turned into a parking lot into the path of a pickup truck, causing the collision. 

The truck driver, 34-year-old Kyle Ryamn Strube of Lubbock, was transported to University Medical Center, where he died later. 

The SUV driver, 39-year-old Martha Madero Trejo of Denver City, was taken to UMC for treatment. 

Officials said none of the drivers used seatbelts. 

No further details regarding the crash are currently available. 

The crash is being investigated.
