One person was killed and another received injuries following a fiery crash Monday morning in Henderson.
As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place at around 4:30 a.m. on Eastern Avenue and Saint Rose Parkway. The early reports showed that a 2010 Lexus coupe and a 2005 Jeep SUV were involved in the collision.
The reports also revealed that the Lexus struck the Jeep from behind, causing the Jeep’s fuel tank to explode, engulfing both vehicles. On arrival, first responders immediately took the Jeep driver to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where he died of his injuries.
Officials believe that speed might have contributed to the crash. However, authorities ruled out impairment as a factor for the accident. No other details are available.
The incident remains under investigation.
