1 person dead after getting struck by a train in Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)

One person was killed after getting struck by a train Friday morning in Las Vegas.

As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place in the 1700 block of Western Avenue. The early reports showed that a person was lying on the train tracks when they were hit by an oncoming train.

According to the authorities, there are no suspicious circumstances connected with this accident. Western Avenue was expected to remain blocked in that area for a few hours to give way to the investigation. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other information is available.

The incident remains under review.
