On Wednesday, one person died after being hit by a train in Springfield.
As per the initial information, the fatal pedestrian accident took place at about 2:45 p.m. at the railroad crossing located at 17th Ave and West Hillcrest Drive in Springfield. The early reports showed that a train struck and took the life of one person.
The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. At this time, officials have only confirmed that the victim is a male. No other details are made available by the authorities.
