1 person dead after an auto-pedestrian collision in Houston (Houston, TX)

On Monday night, one person was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Houston.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place on FM 529. The preliminary investigation indicated that a grey Subaru was heading west in the middle lane of 529 when a red vehicle turned in front of it, causing the vehicle to drift to avoid a collision.

The Subaru then hit a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the street. The driver of the Subaru stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officials. The driver did not display any signs of impairment. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
