A 23-year-old driver was killed following a traffic collision Thursday morning near Los Banos.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place at about 6:30 am along Interstate 5 near Highway 152. The early reports showed that the driver was passing cars on the interstate when they lost control and collided with a semi-truck parked on the shoulder.
The driver was declared dead at the scene by the officials. It is unknown if anyone else was injured in the accident. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
The crash remains under review.
