1 person dead after a two-vehicle collision in Houston (Houston, TX)

On Friday, one person was killed following a two-vehicle accident in Houston.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place on the Katy Freeway feeder road near Patterson Street at about 1:20 a.m. The preliminary reports showed that a pickup truck with two men inside failed to stop at a red light and slammed into a minivan.

The driver of the minivan succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck displayed signs of intoxication. Officers charged them with intoxication manslaughter. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
