A traffic accident in Rusk County took the life of one person.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of State Hwy 43, close to the northern intersection of FM 1716 after getting reports of a motor vehicle accident. The early reports showed that one of the involved vehicles caught fire due to the collision.
At least one person died as a result of the crash. It is unknown how many vehicles were involved in the wreck. The crash caused major traffic delays in the area. Authorities asked the motorists to use an alternate route. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
