On Sunday afternoon, one person was killed following a traffic accident on I-240 in Memphis.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle crash took place at Interstate 240 and Getwell Road. The early reports showed that the vehicle was going in the right westbound lane and swerved left, going over several lanes of traffic.
After that, the vehicle struck the concrete median before continuing back across the westbound lanes and crashing into the barrier on the right side of the road. The driver of the vehicle died of their injuries after the accident. No other details are made available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
