1 person dead after a single-vehicle accident northeast of Nooksack (Nooksack, WA)

On Tuesday, one person was killed following a traffic accident northeast of Nooksack.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of 8300 block of N Pass Road northeast of Nooksack at around 5pm after getting reports of a single-vehicle crash. The preliminary investigation showed that the vehicle went off the road and ended up stuck between trees.

On arrival, firefighters worked to free the driver and performed lifesaving efforts, but the victim was later pronounced dead at the scene. In an update on March 16th, it was reported that a medical emergency might have led to the crash.

There were no injuries on the dead driver that were consistent with the vehicle damage. Next of kin had been notified, officials said. No further details were provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
