On Tuesday night, one person died following a single-vehicle accident on I-15.
As per the initial information, the fatal semi-truck crash took place moments before 6:15 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15 near Interstate 8 in Mission Valley. The early reports showed that the driver of a UPS semi-truck failed to maintain control of his truck on the rain-slicked roadway and the vehicle rolled over on an area highway.
The big rig came to a stop on the right-hand shoulder of the highway. The driver of the truck was declared dead by the officials. Traffic was not affected for travelers in the area. No other details are made available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
