LV Metropolitan Police officials state that a motor vehicle accident took place at a northwest valley intersection late Thursday morning. 1 person was critically injured in the incident.
The collision was reported at around 11:35 AM at Cimarron and Elkhorn roads. Investigators learned that a 2019 Hyundai Sonata was heading east on Elkhorn when it collided with a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta that was turning left from northbound Cimarron, according to police.
The driver of the Volkswagen, identified as a 22-year-old man, was taken to a medical center with life-threatening injuries while the driver of the Honda, a 21-year-old Las Vegas man, was taken to another medical center to be treated for his minor injuries.
