The Scottsdale Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon. The collision involved two vehicles. The accident happened just east of Pima Road, in the vicinity of Grayhawk Drive and Thompson Peak Parkway at around 5:3 p.m.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was injured and transported to the hospital in an unknown condition. The names and identities of the victims are not yet known.
The road between Grayhawk and Thompson Peak Parkway will be closed, according to the police, as crews clear the scene and conduct an investigation into the fatal collision. The events leading up to the collision are not clear at this time.
