A tragic hit-and-run accident claimed the life of a pedestrian on Interstate 45 in north Houston on Sunday, as confirmed by the Houston Police Department. The incident occurred around 4:35 a.m. near Parker Road, prompting officers to respond to the scene.
A man was struck by a vehicle on the highway and tragically succumbed to his injuries. The driver responsible for the collision fled the scene, prompting a search by law enforcement.
The authorities are also seeking to determine why the man was on the highway. Houston Transtar reported the reopening of all northbound lanes of the highway before Parker Road, following a partial closure due to the fatal crash.
