According to the New Orleans Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Monday in New Orleans.
Officials confirmed that 1 person was killed in a pedestrian accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred at the intersection of S.Peters and Poydras Street in the Central Business District.
A flat-bed tow truck tried to turn left and at the same time the pedestrian attempted to cross.
The victim was struck by the truck.
Authorities reported that the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene of the wreck.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
It is not known if alxohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
