The Torrance Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday evening. The accident happened close to Sepulveda Boulevard and Anza Ave at around 3:30 p.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, an 83-year-old woman was driving a white 1997 Mercury when it collided with a blue 2005 Suzuki motorcycle being driven by an unidentified male that was travelling west on Sepulveda near Anza, according to a statement from Torrance police.
The man driving the motorcycle was critically injured and rushed to a hospital. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Police stated that it doesn’t seem that drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident. The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials.
