The Phoenix Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in downtown Phoenix on Sunday night. The accident happened close to the 3rd Avenue and Indian School intersection at around 11 p.m.
According to investigators, a man was initially hit by a car that was turning right onto Indian School Road. The cyclist then dropped to the ground and was struck by an additional vehicle traveling eastbound on Indian School Road.
The man was pronounced dead on the spot. His name and identity have not been made public.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No other information is available currently.
