Official reports from the Amarillo Police state that their personnel were called to the scene of a hit-and-run accident on Georgia and I-40 on Friday morning.
According to these official reports, a man was struck by a truck on the median of the intersection. He later succumbed to his injuries. The man’s identity was not disclosed.
Accounts add that the driver of the truck paused for a moment and then drove away. The vehicle was later stopped by Amarillo police.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
