1 Man And His 11-Month-Old Son Injured In A Two-Vehicle Crash On Jane Street (New Iberia, LA)

Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 1300 block of Jane Street in New Iberia that injured a man and his 11-month-old son. The man and the infant were airlifted to the local hospitals. 

According to a police spokesperson, Sgt. Daesha Hughes, the father’s condition, has been reported to be stable. The male infant remains in critical but stable condition. 

The second vehicle driver sustained moderate injuries from the crash and was taken to the hospital. 

Jane street was shut down from Daspit road to Landry drive following the crash investigation. 

Alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
