According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Panola County on Thursday.
The crash happened on US 59, just south of Carthage at around 5 p.m.
According to the Department of Public Safety, a Chevrolet truck and a Ford truck were involved in the collision.
The driver of the Chevrolet truck failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign, drove onto US 50, and struck a ford truck.
The driver of the Chevrolet was identified as 44-year-old James B. Peloquin, who suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford truck was identified as 55-year-old Ronald C. Hudman, who suffered major injuries along with his passenger.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
