On Sunday morning, a semi-truck hit and seriously injured a pedestrian on I-94.
As per the initial information, three pedestrians were crossing Interstate 94 near Martin Street at about 12:50 a.m. When they reached the other side, one of them turned around and entered the westbound I-94 lanes of traffic. Officials said that the person might be looking for a dropped item.
A semi-truck was going in the middle lane and it hit the pedestrian. On arrival, EMS rushed the victim to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit with life-threatening injuries. The other two pedestrians left the scene before the arrival of the officers.
The Michigan State Police are investigating the auto-pedestrian crash.
