The Mason County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Sunday motor vehicle crash that claimed a life. The crash occurred in Amber Township on U.S. 31 at Johnson Road.
An initial investigation into the crash reveals a blue Ford was traveling southbound on U.S. 31. A silver minivan traveling eastbound failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection.
The minivan hit the driver’s side of the Ford, trapping the driver in the van.
The minivan driver, a 36-year-old Mason County woman, died at the scene. The other four passengers, including a 19-year-old female, were injured in the crash.
The Ford occupants, the driver, and the two passengers were from Wisconsin.
The crash is under investigation.
