Georgia State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Midway on Monday morning that left a person dead.
According to the authorities, a 32-year-old female was driving a white 2019 WV Jetta. She stopped her car on the shoulder of the road to either open or close the trunk.
A 2014 Hyundai Azera driver who failed to maintain lanes struck the woman and her vehicle from behind. The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other juveniles were injured in the crash. One was taken to Liberty Regional Hospital and the other two were taken to Savannah Memorial Hospital.
No arrests or charges have been made at this time.
The crash is under investigation.
