On Monday, one person lost their life following an auto-pedestrian accident on Loop 101 near Hayden Road.
According to the officials, the fatal incident took place in the eastbound lanes near Hayden Road. Initial reports revealed that the pedestrian was in the road when a vehicle fatally hit them. It is unclear if the pedestrian was using a crosswalk or not at the time of the collision.
The authorities closed the freeway for several hours as emergency responders worked at the crash scene. The officials will release the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin. The cause that led up to the crash remains unknown as of this moment.
