On Wednesday morning, a single-vehicle crash claimed the life of one person and injured another on Amargosa Road and Village Drive.
The fatal accident took place at about 10:33 a.m. at the intersection of Amargosa Road and Village Drive. Officials reported that a dark-blue GMC Envoy crashed for reasons that are yet to be known. On arrival, paramedics declared one person dead. The Victorville City Firefighters immediately responded to the crash scene and rescued one person pinned inside the vehicle.
Emergency responders then transported the female victim to Victor Valley Global Medical Center and later airlifted her to Loma Linda University Medical Center with unknown injuries. The authorities shut down Village Drive between Lanada Avenue and Amargosa Road. The identities of the victims remain undisclosed at this time.
An investigation into the deadly crash is ongoing.
