Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash on US 290 near Kickapoo on Sunday.
Two people in the Hockley area were struck by a car that pushed another vehicle off the main lanes.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, one person died at the scene, and the other was airlifted to a hospital.
The identities of the person are yet to be disclosed.
No further information regarding the crash is currently available.
An investigation into the crash is under review.
