In a tragic motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, a fatal traffic collision occurred on a private drive near the 6300 block of Mirabella Blvd., according to the Grand Prairie Police Department.
At around 5:30 p.m., a pickup truck was travelling along the private drive when a 3-year-old child suddenly entered the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. The child was critically injured and was swiftly transported to a local hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, the child was later pronounced dead. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
Following a thorough investigation of the fatal crash, authorities do not anticipate filing any criminal charges in connection with the collision.
