A school bus driver died in a crash in Georgia, the crash led to the injury of two others on board out of three students. An early morning bus crash happened on August 5 at about 6:50 a.m.
The bus was heading north when it side-swiped with a utility vehicle travelling in the opposite direction, said Upson County Sheriff Dan Kilgore. Following the collision, the bus veered off the road into a ditch.
The bus driver was identified as a 69-year-old who died following his injuries. Thomaston-Upson Schools reported that the children were transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
An investigation is ongoing.
