Woman ran her vehicle into a 7-Eleven store in Encinitas after experiencing a medical episode (Encinitas, CA)

On Sunday morning, a woman who allegedly had a medical emergency slammed her vehicle into the front of a 7-Eleven store in Encinitas, causing damage to the building.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place near Manchester Avenue at about 10:25 a.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford pickup crashed into the front of the convenience store on Encinitas Boulevard.

Officials stated that the accident happened when the woman suffered a medical issue. The woman was transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The identity of the victim has not been released. No other details are made available.

An investigation is ongoing.
