Officials identified 24-year-old Tyler Xavier Johnson who died after a fiery crash in Youngsville (Youngsville, LA)

Authorities identified 24-year-old Tyler Xavier Johnson, from Lafayette, as the man who lost his life following a fiery crash Saturday in Youngsville.

Officers actively responded to the 2500 block of E. Milton Avenue at about 02:32 a.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle accident. On arrival, responders found a vehicle that hit a cement culvert and was fully engulfed in flames.

Investigators found the driver of the vehicle pinned inside. The man was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. No other details have been provided by the authorities.

An investigation is ongoing.
