Officials identified 14-year-old Sterling Grace Turner-Williams who died in a pedestrian crash (Austin, TX)

Authorities identified 14-year-old Sterling Grace Turner-Williams as the girl who lost her life after getting struck by a car while crossing the highway in south Austin on Nov. 23.

The fatal pedestrian crash took place at about 8:49 p.m. in the 2700 block of South MoPac Expressway. That’s near the intersection with Loop 360. According to the reports, a Ford F-150 was going southbound in the area when it hit a pedestrian who was crossing westbound.

On arrival, medics rushed her to a hospital where she was later declared dead on Nov. 24 at 12:40 a.m. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the officials. Officers on Friday identified the teenager as Sterling Grace Turner-Williams. No other details are available.

An investigation continues.
