Kentucky firefighter killed in the line of duty


CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) – A Kentucky firefighter was killed in the line of duty Sunday. Supporting Heroes announced on Facebook that Charlie Shaw of the Taylor County Fire Department died on Sunday at the age of 78. Supporting Heroes says Shaw was hurt in a crash while responding to a separate accident on April 15. He left the crash scene with minor injuries but collapsed at his home on Sunday. Supporting Heroes says that according to his autopsy, Shaw had a blood clot as a result of his injuries from the crash. That clot caused a pulmonary embolism, meaning it…
