The Carrollton Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on North Michigan Avenue near Stoker Drive. A mother and her 4-year-old daughter were severely injured in the crash around 10:30 p.m on Friday.
According to police, a 16-year-old driver from Saginaw County struck the 30-year-old mother and her child in the roadway.
The mother and the child were rushed to an area hospital by ambulance. The 4-year-old was transferred to Mott Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan Medical Centre in Ann Arbor.
Investigators determined that the teenage driver was not intoxicated and remained at the scene for further investigations.
