  • A fatal ATV crash killed 19-year-old Samantha Posey and injured 20-year-old Koelton Birdsong (Lawrence County, TN)

On Saturday night, 19-year-old Samantha Posey, a resident of Meridianville, lost her life and 20-year-old Koelton Birdsong, a resident of Athens, received injuries after an ATV crash in Lawrence County.

As per the initial investigation, Koelton Birdsong was heading westbound on Kelton Road in an ATV. For unknown reasons, the vehicle ran off the road, hit a tree and overturned. Samantha Posey succumbed to her injuries at the scene while the driver of the ATV, Koelton Birdsong suffered injuries. Reports showed that both the victims were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision. No further details are immediately available.

The incident remains under active review.
