As per the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, 84-year-old Rosina Cascio lost her life in a two-vehicle crash in north Caddo Parish.
Officials say just after 2 p.m., a pickup heading northbound on Gilliam Scotts Slough Road pulled into the intersection at Hwy. 2 and crashed into a westbound pickup. The driver of the westbound vehicle did not receive any injuries as a result of the crash while in the northbound vehicle, one person was declared deceased on the scene and the other was taken to Ochsner LSU Health. The victim was named as Rosina Cascio, 84, of Shreveport. An autopsy has been ordered.
An investigation is continuing.
